In the end, it hurt, but Lucas is really glad he's the one who triggered the ambush. He may occasionally fall well short of a lot of his allies' abilities in a physical fight, but this is his realm.
Trying to shake off the cobwebs and recover from the assault, he attempts to even the playing field - reaching out to try and challenge Sinister to astral combat.
