He eventually picks up on her presence, shaking himself out of his reverie as he works, pausing in the construction to turn, giving her a warm smile. "I was hoping you'd make it. We don't have a lot of time before school starts, so I figured this would be the last chance we'd get for a while to go camping like we'd talked about. There's food in the cooler there if you're hungry."
