Eiltin was at the Defenders base. He didn't like going into the city much unless he had to.
This seemed like one of those times with a massive out break of vampires like this. He had heard all about them from his father and his teacher.
He grabbed his spear and ran out to help leaving Ruarc behind to guard the base.
