Sigurdur had left Svalin's door that morning to seek a bit of food before returning to guard her. By the time he returned, though, she'd gotten around to doing other things.
He finds her out on the lawn, practicing with a weapon he has never seen before. He doesn't want to tell her that she should be resting, but...she should.
"Svalin...thou shouldst be eating and resting somewhat. What would thy wife say if she saw thee now?" Sigurdur asks, studying the weapon.
"And what manner of weapon dost thou use? I hath not seen one of its make before."
