As soon as he said it, though, he kicked himself mentally. That would never happen, as his service was to protect Svalin during her pregnancy. It was very likely that he would have to return to Asgard after the babe was born and go back to his duties. Sigurdur doesn't want to think about having to return to Asgard and watching Svalin disappear from his life again.
