She snatches the longspear from the warrior, able to use it as a lance and horseman's spear to keep herself out of reach of most of her enemies. The Roman legionnaires quickly begin forming into ranks, presenting their shields and getting spears up, while their slingers form lines.
The ranks begin to separate and bowmen form up - on one hand, this just got much more dangerous for Svalin, on the other hand, she's used their typical tactics against them, and the lot stops for the moment to focus on driving her off, buying the others time.
