Svalin brought Tryggvi around and steered him toward the middle. The legion and the phalanx were stopped for the moment and were too heavily armed to attack with just a spear.
Svalin opted for the Norsemen in the middle. They were the greatest threat at the moment and being in the middle of them might just help prevent arrows from flying toward her.
When Tryggvi was close enough to the ground, she jumped off and had the spear in motion.
