The soldiers Svalin were battling didn't have room to maneuver or effectively use their shields and weapons like they were trained. They jumbled up in the doorway, making easy targets for the Asgardian.
On the other side of the room the demons facing Halbjorn were having a little more luck. Until Marlow turned them around and then they started fighting their brethren. The ones that were turned to ice by Asleif's spell shattered into a million pieces.
