"Those people have their roles... someone does need to stop the Apocalypses, Masters of Evil and others, after all. As for stepping up to challenges like this - to this point, mutants haven't been any better at engaging these issues politically and socially. Some, like Magneto, have been too confrontational, unwilling to use the media as a positive tool for change, even if it has to be led by the nose. Others, like Xavier, talk a good game, but aren't willing to engage with the world outside their ivory tower... its not a matter of baselines or mutants... its that, eventually, good people of all sorts need to recognize all the battlefields our enemies fight on, and engage them there. Not just hand to hand."
