"If there were only two sides, the problem would be much easier." he replies, with a hint of amusement. Their approaches are similar, at times, even if their views and motivations may differ.
"I don't ask, nor expect all mutants to share in my beliefs. I want to offer them protection and a means to improve the future whether they believe or not.... any people, any nation, is going to house people of a wide variety of beliefs... the extreme left, the far right and everything in between. The haves and the have nots. Mutants will always be no different, because, ultimately, we are human. I just want to gain the right for them to express those differences and be recognized as different groups of people, rather than one shadowy evil. I'm not Xavier - I don't need to sell people on my dream to consider them to be on 'my side'."
