While she is a very public figure it is still odd for someone to openly recognize her--save for schoolgirls who seemed to love to ask her questions, especially about Grogg--so when this man greets her and with respect, she favors him with a smile and also bows to respect his respect.
"Good day. Is it treating you well?"
