Its a waste for short jaunts, like Mars... have to get way out of planetary gravity, make sure not to come back in too close... but it means that a lot of the distant empires don't take a lot longer to get to than in system trips. I'm not sure how skilled you are with flight... you might well be able to generate them on your own."
