"Thank you, Edmund." Julian says, taking the slip of paper and looking at the number. He would have to have it traced, but he'd speak to Mr. Delacroix at his own leisure. Running right at him would give the impression that he was afraid and that simply wouldn't do.
"I find it strange that Shaw chose to tread carefully around these people, but saw no reason to do the same with those older and more powerful than them. Shaw made odd steps at times, a few I haven't fully understood yet.
Still, a portion of these peoples' power comes from being feared. When they don't get that, they move into threats. If we let them push us around, they'll just keep doing until someone stands up to them.
