You never know how gratitude might reveal itself in the future from someone you did a kindness for in the past." Julian says.
"Speaking of which...I did a bit of calculation regarding your father's estate after Sebastian signed it over to himself after Mr. Leland's death. He also bought out your father's law practice, which did some brisk business." Julian says, reaching into his desk to hand over a folder with several stock portfolios.
"Sebastian reinvested the money and managed to procure some stock in a few up-and-coming, at the time, companies. You'll see now that many of them are well-known corporations in the East, like Fujikawa Inc and are showing profitable growth each quarter. In English, it's worth a lot of money.
And that money just happens to be yours." Julian smiles.
