The signal, obviously, didn't impact Kassi the same way it did Marrina, but it didn't take long for it to start giving her a headache and disrupt her telepathy. Kassi lost her ability to communicate with Marrina and her vision went a little swimy. She made one more effort to hold onto her sister before she realized it.
They were doomed.
