Shelly and Anselm, watch her back! Michelle, make sure no bystanders get in the way! There's no way that took him out, so I'm going in after him!" Matt says, turning to face the hole in the ground, staff at the ready. He's only going to have one shot with his mystic sucker-punch and if he doesn't make it count, the best they can hope for is a trip to the emergency room.
A snake-like creature slithers out of the hole and darts along the ground toward Matt, wrapping around his ankle. Only then does Matt notice that this is no snake.
It's a very, very long chain.
"You've got to be kidding--"
His sentence is cut off as the chain grows taught and drags Matt toward the hole and into the ground.
