Shelly learns very quickly that the force she can exert with her spell is great, but the force pulling on the chain is greater still, and Matt slides down into the hole.

There's a flash of blue energy...a few yells...a grunt of consternation...an eruption of flame from the hole and then...

Matt Walker comes sailing out of the hole and into the air, slamming down upon a car.
