So. The girl was, at least by some standard, her sister. Or possibly her cousin. It got weird that way. And while Stevie would be the first to admit she wasn't being fair about it, she also knew she would probably never get on particularly well with Anya.
It was nothing specific that had been done, but it was simply the fact that they were total opposites. Anya was smart, hard-working to the point of self-exhaustion, and more than happy to be working to shape the future into a better place, not to mention having a positive relationship with her Stark parent.
Stevie, by contrast, was of perhaps above average intelligence (at least when it came to cars), had zero interest in, well, anything other than Avengering, cars, and racing; was pretty happy to take things as they were and just live in them, and didn't get along with her Stark parent much at all.
So not much common ground there. And leaving her without idea one of what to get her. And her own egghead, MC, was a different enough kind of egghead that asking her wasn't going to help.
So. Gift card to one of them fancy NYC malls it was.
