"Thank you, sweetheart." Alex gives Eliza a smile, before giving the Shi'ar a look that brooks no objection.
"It's the fastest we've got, and it's a damn sight better than what you've just hobbled in on. My people will help because it's the right thing to do, but understand that you're not in the Empire right now and none of us are obligated to help you, and you'd best accept that, otherwise you can stick out your thumb and try getting to Earth that way." He looks at his watch. "Nine minutes." He instructs an operations worker to lead the Shi'ar to Ride and have him input the coordinates. He also gives orders for him not to be left alone with the ship.
"Guardians, arm up." And he'll go off to restock his guns and ammo, along with emergency gear.
