Days later, and Angelo was still skittish. Research on schools, daily assignments, volunteer work, and neighborhood patrolling had been able to keep him busy until he found a spot in Andrew's schedule that he could reasonably impose upon. The trick had been finding one where he wouldn't have to go through Gio first, besides not taking Andrew away from all of his very important work. The boy had been a bundle of nerves ever since... the unthinkable* had happened.

He ran a hand through his hair and did his best to collect his thoughts, which seemed to keep running out of his head like water from a sieve. "Nella vita, chi non risica... non rosica," he told himself sternly, before knocking on Andrew's door.

*Unthinkable in a fantastically good way.

	That gets a raised brow. He doesn't worry too much, as Angelo is not precisely known for understatement, so if there were an emergency, he'd be more worked up. "Is she alright?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Yes, although... I'm not sure about a decision she made." Angelo clears his throat. "As Gio most likely told you, I made plans to escort Miss Charlotte trick-or-treating for the holiday. It seems that she had other plans. She had an alternate costume and set of activities in mind. I was able to keep her from going anywhere unsafe, but... well.." He looks for words.

"It was a very nice evening. We went trick-or-treating, then to the carnival at central park. I won her a stuffed walrus, then escorted her through the 'haunted' attraction. We went out for dinner afterwards, and... she... she asked me if it was a date. I told her right away that I'd never presume such a thing without telling her in advance. She... she seemed almost upset. I made sure I hadn't offended her, and the rest of the meal was... it was very nice." He seems almost wistful.

"The real complication came when I brought her home to the embassy. I..." He blushes. "I was dressed as Sir Gareth, you see, and I guess I was just feeling rather emboldened.. I kissed her hand. Then she manhandled me by the collar and kissed me. A good deal more fully." Angelo has turned a faint crimson by now, gesturing to his face to make sure Andrew understands what happened.

"I'm not sure what to do."

Andrew mostly hides the smile. Mostly. Then he nods.

"My Aunt has been sheltered, and is very alone, but she's an adult woman. I want her to have escorts in order to keep her safe, not to keep her chaste and innocent. I want her, and the rest of you, to see the city, to live a little, to become more international. The only way Genosha is going to thrive is if it becomes part of the larger world, instead of trying to hide from it with guns out.

So the question on what you want to do is... what do you want to do?"

	Angelo just manages a small smile. "Nella vita, chi non risica... non rosica." He sits up straight. "Being optimistic... do you have any advice for a first date in general if she accepts-- phrased in such a way that I don't have to know too much about you and Gio, please." Much as I love Genosha, and its ample seafood, and your chicken and pasta dishes are amazing, America is a lot better for steak and potatoes. And, Angelo... good luck.
