Keiji was stable, but not recovering. He'd fared better than her Lady-Mother, doomed to her agony, but they didn't have the right antivenin for him to actually get better; Hand poisons were specialized, not just one particular toxin.
So Amiko put in a request for the Assassin's belongings. She eventually appears in a holding room, where Yuji is restrained, with the sashful of belongings held before her.
"The Jonin sent you to take Oyama Keiji away from me," she says simply. "You failed. He will not die."
