Martin is having a hard time keeping up the shields from Gruck's pressing army, so when he starts to feel someone else's magic start trying to invade his mind he gets annoyed. It's hard to explain the feeling of another's magic in your space but it's...uncomfortable. Between his mutation that constantly lets magic leak out of him and the fact that being annoyed just makes more leak out...it's harder to affect him with magic manipulation.
His frustration causes a spike in the power he's putting out and with one last push the shields break as he sends the nearby deviants flying back and at the same time clears his mind a bit. The headache is still there though.
He needs backup now. With a wave he conjures up new discs, one to carry him closer to the source and another to deposit the few humans who aren't still affected on a nearby rooftop.
How did that telepathy thing go again? He really should practice it more...
HELLO? OOPS- TOO LOUD sorry okay that's better. Umm if there's any superheroes out there...there's a magical disturbance that's causing a riot and the source is right by...umm actually right by the Iron...person?
He really needs to get caught up on all the superhero names, too much time living with Dr. Strange tends to isolate you.
