Here Comes Santa Claus (Independents)
Christmas. Yule. Saturnalia. Dies Natalis Solis Invicti. Many cultures have celebrated and still celebrate a winter festival. There have been many names for it over the millennia. No matter the name it is a time to come together and celebrate with feasts and gifts with friends and loved ones.

Each culture has a legendary figure who would deliver gifts to children during this time. In Russia and some Slavic cultures he is known as Ded Moroz, Grandfather Frost, and comes not on Christmas but on New Year’s along with his granddaughter Snegurochka, or ‘”Snow Maiden”. In the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe he is known as Father Christmas. In the Netherlands and Belgium he is known as Saint Nicholas or “Sinterklaas” and in France he is known as Père Noël. In the United States we know him as Santa Claus.

No matter the name or who is delivering gifts, it is the season of peace, joy and togetherness. It is the season for thinking about loved ones, friends and those less fortunate. It is a time to witness the goodness and generosity the human race is capable of. It is a time for peace on Earth and goodwill toward man.

	The trip home was a bit far, and her budget was a little too thin, but Joanna had a good long call to her father, and then went out to sit in a park. She played a few of her favorite Christmas carols to polite applause, and donated the usual tips rather than pocketed them. (Reply to this)

Christmas notes home to Mother and Father precisely timed. New cookbook for Angelo. Biography of Millicent "Maybe not such weakling even if not Emmaline Pankhurst" Fawcett for Andrew, who kind of liked the lady. Replaced workout equipment to be shared between Rikki and Sengai. A great, short-and-to-the-point biography on Emmeline Pankhurst for Rikki and a 'Guide to Slang in the English Language' for Sengai. Some shoes Gio wouldn't be caught dead in herself, but hoped Charlotte would like.

Christmas morning was a bit chaotic in the Romanov-Stark household. Nick dove into the pile of gifts and paper went everywhere.

Anya made sure to get him a small mountain of toys and some clothes. She got her father a week getaway for him and Mom with a promise of babysitting. Mom got a day at the spa and slips to redeem for babysitting.

She carried gifts over to Brother Dork and placed them next to him. There were a few presents and a manila enveloped.

"Merry Christmas," she said and hugged him.

	Misha arrived with two bigger than life-sized monkeys for Nick, so the kid could get started on building his minion monkey army. Mom's gift had already been delivered. "Merry Christmas." 	Misha went simple this year for gifts. Anya's package was a pair of gold earrings, right under a card that gave her a free pass to shift any royal duties she might have in the coming year to her older brother. Charlotte was noticibly abscent on christmas day. She's jokingly pawned it off on being jewish...but she was heart breakingly home sick-not so much for home but for the people there..or the person. The person who had yet to so much as call her. No, she was definately better left alone, locked in her room with no interest or intention of leaving until it was the 26th.

Christmas sucked.
