Nicolai thought it was probably something like that. He said his hellos to Cap and they conversed. The conversation that followed went favorably and soon enough followed a brief discussion about some rules that the Avengers follow different from Mercs.
Now long after that Nicolai was out doing a little more exploring of the mansion.
