He lead her inside, purposefully having arrived at the opposite end of the terminal from where they'd need to go, to be able to walk her through the central area with it's hurried throngs and star-painted ceiling, to say nothing of the decades old architecture.

He also didn't think Asleif would have much patience for changing trains, so the most direct route to Central Park would be preferrable.
