The subway beneath grand central was hardly the dank caverns of Asgard. It was brightly lit, with street performers and vendors present, and the usual hustle and bustle of crowds with places to go. Vincent gave her hand a squeeze as he munched on his own pastry. "I will not let anything in this city do you discomfort, Lady Asleif." He knew his own ways well enough to avoid saying 'harm', as such a promise would only be an insult to her sensibilities and ego.
He escorted her onto the appropriate platform and through the doors as it opened. A gentle suggestion, made with a simple gesture, parted the crowds slightly to let her enter more easily, and find a seat. He sat beside her, smiling. "We should arrive soon enough."
