Softening the blow with pastries.
After their little picnic and... the events that transpired during and after, Sasha felt sooner was better than later to break the news to Sylvie. As one of her besties, Sylvie would think she was hiding it if she put off telling her. Of course, the fact that the other party in this equation was her cousin, well, that was just another very viable reason why now was better than a week from now. Or never.

Regardless, she still wasn't looking forward to it. So she baked. Because really, bad news always went better with something to shove in your mouth. And Sylvie did love her pies. And her cookies. So... one pie and two dozen cookies later, Sasha was bringing her attempted-bribe to Sylvie's door with a soft knock.

As Sylvie crawled to the door, she sniffed. She didn't have enhanced senses, but she did have senses.

As she opened the door -- somewhat modified for her ease, she looked up. "For the holidays, or is there bad news?" she said, cheerily despite the question.

"Um.. hopefully neither. Got somewhere you want me to put these?"

"Desk is good." She crawls out of the way. "I'm guessing you want to talk about something?" Otherwise, she figures Sasha'd have waited for Sylvie to come to the kitchen.

"And people say you're just good for your looks," she teases, coming in and closing the door behind her with a light kick. Going over to the desk, she sets the pie and cookies down, then turns to face her friend, not exactly sure where to start.

Sylvie grabs a cookie. "Go ahead."

Slumping back against the wall, she folds her arms over her chest and just looks at Sylvie for a moment. What would be the best way to do this; ease into it or dive right in? Puffing out her cheeks, she figured she'd just rip it off like a band-aid. "So, I'm sort of more than a little interested in Fred. And if I'm not mistaken, it's mutual."

Sylvie chewed thoughtfully. When her mouth wasn't full, she spoke. "Okay, well, you're going to have to take it slow and steady, because Fred's really sensitive..."

Sasha had to bite her lip, resisting the urge to both blush and giggle. Instead, she recrossed her arms and looked at her feet. "Mmhmm."

"I'm serious. I don't know if you were here when Mom had to sedate him because he hadn't taken his meds, but don't go too fast."

"This topic's already come up, Syl. I've let him know if he goes all rawr-face on me again, I'll knock him flat on his ass with a white note. He's okay with that." But she hoped that it never actually got to that point. He'd been fine with her but for that one glitch - which had thankfully been glossed over.

"Okay. Good. ...and if the relationship gets to certain levels, remember: health and safety precautions and never, ever tell me of any of the details." Sylvie shoves another cookie in her mouth to cleanse the thought.

Sasha snickers, grabbing a cookie for herself. "Ah, so feats of strength and stamina should be private affairs, not to be shared, hmm? Too bad." She had a feeling she'd have quite a bit to gossip about, given the chance.

She did, however, roll her eyes at Sylvie, snorting at her. "I'm not mentally deficient, Syl. I don't want to wind up with suckling children any time soon, thanks. I'm on the pill."

"Mm, too bad. I think he's going to give me quite a bit to talk about. Which also means you're not allowed to ask about any... marks you may or may not see in the future." She smirks and reaches over to snag a cookie.
