He can't help it. He laughs - for a few moments, before he's able to bring himself back to words.
"Truly? Thou'rt asking one cursed with the madness if thou'rt mad for seeing dark shadows? Nay, by any comparison I hath right to make, thou'rt as right as spring rains. Mayhap thine skald's vivid imaginings art carrying thee away... or mayhap thou hast some deeper understanding... something gleaned from barely remembered tales. I know not, and know not how to counsel thee beyond this... all mine life ist lived in instinct. Mine passions wilt exact a heavy toll from me... but they art yet mine truest guide, and all I hath when sense abandons me. So how canst I counsel another to ignore their gut, not believe what their instincts tell them. If thou'rt seeing something dark and ill... I would advise thee caution... and shouldst thou ask it, I wilt protect thee in all ways I am able."
