Los Angeles had an unending stream of inspiring actors, musicians and entertainers of every shape and size, and an unending supply of venues for them to display their talents. It was Open Mic Night at one of the local coffee shops that The Defenders liked to frequent and Iona had had the flyer requesting talent in her room for weeks, months before she finally decided to act on her desire.
It wasn't stage fright exactly, she'd performed in far greater halls than this, she'd sung for all of Asgard in the Great Hall more than once, but she hated feeling like she was imposing on her friends, demanding attention...But the idea had been welcomed and several of the Defenders were now ensconced in the back of the coffee house along with the old, well used but greatly loved guitar she had finally found on Midgard to claim as her own. Drinks were ordered as the acts were called up one at a time as the old familiar excitement started to build.
