He waves it off. "My scouts explained your story to me. Branimer was a good soldier, but far too often he gave in to his baser urges. You likely did me a favor. However, it would be bad form of me to let something like that go without even an investigation."
He doesn't object when she goes for the beer. "So true," he replies with almost a hint of nostalgia.
