Lang was finally on his way home, fortunately. Over the years, his relations with Lang had grown from brattily hostile to merely Quite Awkward, but of course that had been completely irrelevant today, when there was Cassandra to think about. Childbirth provided enough to worry about in any circumstances, even in a hospital, but with her condition there had been so much that could go wrong. They'd both tried desperately not to panick. Success had...fluctuated.
He followed carefully into the room and looked at her, and at the baby. Kristoff was grateful that -- to the extent that any newborn looked like anyone but Sir Winston Churchill -- the baby seemed to favor the Lang side more than the Richards. Except for the hair.
