Gunfire? This was more serious than he thought. He charges forward through the bullets as they rip through his clothes and skin then bounce off. He's midway through the jerky charge, the bullets may not hurt him but their force could still push him back a bit, when he sees that their victim isn't just anyone, it's David.
Oh now it was personal. No kidnapping X-men while he was around. Going to grab the nearest throwable thing, Vlad hefts a very full dumpster over his head and with a shout throws it at the attackers and their van. Though he doesn't aim at the ones near David. Crushing friends under garbage was a big no.
