"Dealing with me, boy!?" Hayes said angrily in response to Vlad. "I have important work to do! I'm ending this damn farce of a gene war!.
He notes the ice forms, snarls, and then slams his fist into the ice, shattering them utterly. He throws off his lab coat, revealing a mangled body of various inhuman patches of skin. "Mutants and your delusions of being a species..humans and their ridiculous fears..you took everything from me and I'll see both of you buried!" His arms literally open up as tendrils shoot out toward the X-Men, going for their arms and throats.
