He's smiling. Not triumphantly, but from the exhilaration of the fight. That same smile would be there if he was the one on the ground.
Removing his sword he bows and offers a hand up if she wanted it. "Ist been a good while since an opponent hast been such a challenge. Thank thee for the spar."
