Normally the demon could've gone into it's shadow form and escaped, but that infernal shrieking had irritated it and after dodging Greg, it goes solid again to attack the werewolf and get it out of the way. The one making all that racket needed to die.
While it could attack back now, in its solid form the demon had unfortunately left itself open to the attacks from both opponents.
