She paced around the tomb because sitting on a nearby stone would probably be considered disrespectful. You respected the dead because it was the Right Thing to do. Also because they could be a real nag if you didn't.
"I hope so. If this doesn't work, we can make a quick trip to the Shining hotel before dawn."
