Hal is just in the process of returning from work, still in his He-Man costume. Shooting is almost done, thankfully... stupid delays. As such, he's clearly not in the best of moods, but relaxes a little when he can trade in the fake sword for a real axe. Its only when he picks up the Bloodaxe he can feel the stirrings of conflict - and quickly goes to find his siblings.
