He opened a desk drawer, produced a peanut butter protein bar and held it out as well. "Your father called. He said it's an emergency, but your mother and little brother are safe." He nodded toward the wall screen running mute with the news of the day. "I imagine it has to do with that. I said I'd get you on the next flight out, but he told me you'd handle your own transportation."
