Invisible Martin hears Manny's shouts and his disc zooms down the hall the their source to see...okay this made no sense.
Being invisible to everyone here gave him time to process but...it was hard to wrap his mind around this. On one hand, Anya was the boss and would never do anything bad as far as he knew...but why was she in armour? He recalled her mentioning once there was someone from her past that she didn't want bothering her. Mind control? Because while Anya would never do anything bad, he couldn't see Bea doing something like that either. Especially not something that warranted getting blasted.
Taking advantage of the extra time invisibility gave him before he'd be noticed, Martin stops and concentrates. He didn't read teammates minds as a rule (probably smart given who some of his teammates were) but these were special circumstances. So he concentrates and probes her mind telepathically, trying to read what was there and pick up the reasoning behind this. He hoped there was no mind control. That stuff sucked.
