Martin doesn't look convinced, but he doesn't point out that it had just been specified that all magic and magic-related things were bad. Between Anya's comment and having had to deal with Vincent looking down on him and treating him like a little kid...Martin definitely wasn't in the best place now. But he gives Marlow's friend Mr. Corey a small smile as thanks and to show he really did appreciate the effort.
While he waits for people to get ready and when he'll be needed for teleporting, Martin pulls out his spellbook to try and brush up on his less used spells and distract himself.
