Buck was almost certain that his SHIELD false ID was not meant to allow him to gamble illegally. But it was a very secret agent-y thing to do, so he figured they'd give him a pass. Besides, its just a few games of poker. He doesn't get to play as often as he'd like, because, well, the Rogers image requires not revealing that he's almost as good at poker as he is at pool.
A few hundred dollars richer - enough for his next round of car repairs - he heads up to the room to check on Anya, trying to enter quietly and not disturb her when there's no immediate response.
