Try your luck again
So the first date hadn't quite gone as planned, just general bad luck. But Brandr wasn't one to let that get him down, he wouldn't be able to hold the name Fandralsson if it did. Unfortunately, ever since that first date, Lady Svalin seemed to be avoiding him. Unsure of exactly what to make of it, he decided to try his luck and ask her if out again. So he had timed it so he'd find her outside the one place she could never avoid. The training room.

	Svalin was indeed in the training room. The disastrous date had helped to refocus her. She shouldn't be worried about anything other than protecting her son and Migard. There was no time for frivolous things. She focused on the Frost Giant in front of her. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Svalin focused on the Frost Giant, but she couldn't help sneaking glances at Brandr. She mentally scolded herself and forced herself to focus on the Frost Giant.

The thing was much taller and larger than she and she knew she could not go toe to toe with it. Hal would take that route, but not Svalin. She did use her brains in battle.

Instead of attacking head on, she went for slashing attacks at key points, like hamstrings and joints.

Though largely focused on the frost giant, he did spare the moment when he caught her glancing his way to give her his best smile. Of course he stole glances of his own, one should for a beautiful woman, but for one that could fight like she could it was extra warranted.

Brandr let her take point in the fight, it was hers after all, so he played distraction, angering the opponent and moving nimbly out of the way at last minute, but making sure the thing focused mostly on him.

	Svalin's cheeks turned a shade of red when he caught her looking at him. It was distracting enough that the club wielded by the Frost Giant connected with her and sent her flying backward. She growled and charged once she was back on her feet. She struck at the back of the giant's knee. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Brandr ducked in time and stepped around the giant, driving his sword into the back of its knee. "I take it thou art well milady." He commented as she struck the back of the other knee. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Brandr went for a vital in the neck that was exposed when the giant roared and arched back in reaction to Svalin's attack, letting his sword sink in and up under the jaw, before freeing it by slashing out. "Wonderful to hear milady. Hath thou been here long?" A pointless question really, he had a good idea of how long she'd been training today, which was how he knew to find her here in the first place.

He looked at her as she moved to leave with a look of concern. It was admirable that she always put everything before herself, he understood that in relation to duty but overall? That was...troubling.

"Mine apologies," he bows. It wasn't his place to push her, and as much as he did like her, he was aware of his duty and position at all times. Sometimes that went against what he wanted. Which was to follow after her right now.
