I'm Sorry
Irina looked at Lyta. "I'm so sorry," she said. She really was sorry. She had borrowed a pair of Lyta's shoes and well...they were dead. The heel had broken off of one and the other one, well the leather was torn up. "I'll replace them of course."

If anyone else had broken her shoes, Lyta would have been annoyed. But not at Irina. Irina always took good care of whatever Lyta let her borrow. So she really couldn't be too mad.

"It's okay," Lyta said. "I know you didn't do it on purpose or anything."
