Martin Baum ([info]magic_hands) wrote in [info]marvel_nextgen,
The teen with the owl on his shoulder strolled down the street only as long as it took to find a secluded spot and teleport to the Thunder Bolts HQ in Boston. For once he actually teleported to outside it so she could see the place.

"And this is the front, the others put up a bunch of security stuff to blow up intruders but I put the wards up to stop anyone but me from teleporting in. And no demons allowed of course. But I did all the wards myself!"

He gave her the short version of the tour, only indicating the doors of the basement lab and his teammates' rooms, but making sure he hit all the living areas, the gym (which he hadn't blown anything up in...too recently), the kitchen (the old one had been blown up by Anya, he explained. A shame really. Because he didn't get to see her do it), and the freezer where Jack kept stealing his icecream. All the important places really.

"I think we have a plane or something, I'm not sure though because my teleporting is much faster so we use that instead," he added with a touch of pride as they got to his door. "This is my room at HQ. I put a whole bunch of spells on the door so nobody can get in unless I let them. Or they get zapped...and other things. Oh and it's magic proof so my spells don't leak out." The door swung open for them on cue.

This wasn't his room in the Sanctum, he actually used it a lot less too, so it was surprisingly sparse. One would think he'd have tricked the place out magically but he hadn't bothered since his other room was only a teleport away. The place had a rather nice bed and desk, but it was clearly something that was a basic for the rooms here and nothing he'd picked out, and the only other things in the room were a bean bag seat, the laptop Anya had adjusted for his hands, and a small stack of books and DVDs. Oh and a cage with a purple guinea pig. "Hmm...where do you want to sit while I set up? You can watch a movie, I don't have many though."
