He didn't have space to dodge this, and had to settle for a wide slash at the same time as the backhand came. Whether it hit or not, the force of the blow sent him crashing into a nearby wall, leaving a sizable dent. And considering Asgardian density...that was quite a hit.
Brandr staggered to his feet, already feeling ribs shift in ways they weren't supposed to with every breath. With his sword still out in front of him, he used the damaged hand to blindly grope for the intercom right by, never taking his eyes off the opponent. "Milady, you must leave. Now." He tried to put enough firmness into his voice to get across the severity of this without causing too much panic.
There was only one duty he had, and he was going to make sure he did it no matter what the cost.
