Simon hears the beginnings of the song, but as the high A had caused his hearing aids to screech, he was already in the process of removing them. Smirking, he tauntingly waved them both once he'd taken them off. Good luck seducing the deaf guy with song.
Angelo picks a good time to come in, and Simon gives the guy a nod of acknowledgement. He snaps both his hands, this time the explosions were smaller, but right by the woman's ears. Hey, if she relied on sound to fight it wouldn't hurt to take away her hearing for a short amount of time.
