True, there is the need to follow instructions. But it's been proven before that such commands can be overcome with enough force of will; see Doctor Doom and Daredevil. Franklin faltered for a moment, but stayed strong enough to keep up what he was doing.
"Andrea," Franklin said. "Pretty sure I have an idea who this is. You thinking what I'm thinking?"
