She felt bad for really not answering his confession and leaving him high and dry like that. It was cowardly but she sucked at this stuff.
So she was surprised to find the Starbucks card from him. It was touching though, so she left a note at his desk that said.
Thanks for not singing.
She'd done much worse for his birthday after all.
