The West Coast Avengers managed to find the Defenders and get them out of Nightmare's realm. Svalin disappeared almost immediately after they arrived back on Earth. She didn't say where she was going or why, but she did say she'd take care of the nightmarish monsters in the streets.

The Defenders and West Coast Avengers would be free to handle Nightmare.
