When Nikki had gone to make an appointment, she didn't expect Fury's secretary to tell her he had time available in 20 minutes. She'd wanted time to get herself together, get some material to support her request..at least get a pep talk. On the other hand, if she couldn't advocate for herself, a few days wouldn't change it and she quelled her nerves and tugged her jacket she threw on into place as she stepped into his office when his secretary nodded for her to enter.
"Colonel...thank you for seeing me, I know it's short notice."
